Skiing at the Karpenissi Ski Centre: The Ski Centre of Karpenissi is one of the longest established and most important ski centres in Greece. It is located in the area Diavolotopos of Tymphristos Mountain, at a road distance of 78km from Lamia, 284km from Athens and 368km from Thessalonica.

It features totally six lifts: a triple-seat aerial lift, three double-seat aerial lifts, one tow lift and one baby lift. The ski centre offers eleven runs with a total length of 8,5km, spanning all degrees of difficulty.

In the ski centre operates a chalet offering, among others, rental and sales of equipment and a bar with a view to the runs. Furthermore, you can try the experience of staying at the mountaineering shelter, in a natural setting that resembles that of northern Europe.

Food & Beverages

RESTAURANT: In Messandra you can enjoy traditional pies, locally made cheese varieties and cooked meals, such as leak pies, katiki (a local cheese variety), stewed pork, bean soup, trahanas (a local type of porridge) and much more. In the same room the breakfast is served, which includes homemade cake, rice pudding, tiganites (a doughnut-like delicacy), homemade jams, croissant, free range "village" eggs, a variety of cheese and local delicatessen.

CAFÉ & BAR: Just sit comfortably in one of our spacious lounges or at a table and enjoy your coffee, drink, a traditional dessert or even a strong local tsipouro (a local distilled drink), on cold winter days. The flames of the centrally located fireplace will keep you company, while the enchanting view will carry you away.

Accommodation

For your stay you can select from 20 double rooms (8 of which are connecting), 5 suites and 4 triple rooms.

The rooms are classified into 3 groups.

"Helios": The rooms in the Helios (= Sun) group offer a view to the peak of Kalliakouda Mountain, where snow almost never totally melts and it receives the first rays of sun at dawn and the last rays at dusk.

The magnificent view from the room terraces, along with the harmony of the warm tones of honey, yellow and brown colours of their interior, turns your stay into an unforgettable experience.

"Rhapsodia": The rooms of the Rhapsodia (=Rhapsody) group are looking at the mountain side of Helidona Mountain and are located just a breath away from the fir trees. The friendly feel of earth tones in their interior, composes a real rhapsody of colours, with the aid of the yellow, reddish and orange hues of leaves.

"Mythos": Across from the rooms of the "Mythos" (= Myth) group, the setting is dominated by the peak of Megalo Horio in a "painting" of beauty composed of Kalliakouda Mountain as the backdrop and the terrain sculpted by Karpenissiotis River flowing through the land of Eurytania. In their interior, the rooms are dominated by the coral colour.

Suites: From the window of these dreamlike suites, one can view the Velouhi Mountain with the town of Karpenissi on its foot. In the interior, the main colours are velvet black and deep ruby red. The fireplace, a must in each suite, supports the warm atmosphere of comfort and cosines.

All the suites, except for one, boast their own fireplace. Also there is a sitting room where you can relax enjoying your warm drink or even work in a perfect atmosphere, if your obligations never end.

The 3 groups of rooms feature a bedroom with double bed or two single beds, satellite TV, WiFi Internet access, hair-dryer, telephone, terrace with excellent view, room service, safe, fridge, personal care items (set of cosmetic products and shower cap), personal disposable slippers.
