Hotel Familia is situated in the port of Vathy on the island of Ithaka and is housed in a completely renovated 1890's olive press. In 2002 our family acquired the old olive press in order to rescue and renovate the stone building and transform it to a small 7 room hotel. 

Each of the hotel's 7 rooms is uniquely decorated and named after the patriarch of our family, Alexander and his six great grand daughters.

All visitors have the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional home-made breakfast in the hotel's small garden (our family bakes every day cakes. cookies and bread, while all marmalade and jams are also homemade). 

Hotel Familia has 7 rooms, each one with its own name and uniquely decorated with special care, modern facilities and contemporary aesthetics.

All rooms are equipped with: LCD cable television,  air-condition, COCO MAT mattresses and bedding, Wi-Fi internet connection, telephone, mini-bar and safe. 

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms, however you can request a room with a veranda if you want to smoke outside.

Ithaka or Ithaki is a small island in the Ionian Sea, in Greece which lies south of Lefkada and south-east of Kefalonia. Ithaca constitutes an independent municipality that belongs to the prefecture of Kefalonia, has population of 3.646 residents and covers an area of 45 sq. miles. 
Ithaca is known from antiquity since it is mentioned in Homer's Odyssey, one of the two major Greek epic poems which tells the story of the Greek hero and king of Ithaki, Odysseus and his adventurous journey back home after the end of the Trojan war. Even today, the story of Odysseus is used as a symbol of love and nostalgia for our homeland.

The capital of Ithaca is Vathy a picturesque town built in one of the worlds largest natural harbors embracing the Lazaretto islet. The eastern coast of Ithaka is characterized by a lot of small gulves and capes. The total length of the coasts is 101 km with reach vegetation and trees that almost reach the beaches with their green cool waters.
