Tholos, also called Theologos, is a magical combination of a colorful traditional village and a not bustling resort. In ancient times it was named Dimos Istanion. There is a sprinkling of shops, tavernas, bars and restaurants around the hotels. Its excellent beach take up the Meltemi surf and can be breezy - ideal for windsurfers. In the village, the traditional way of life is still widely practiced and the very friendly people give a warm welcome to every- body. Don't miss to visit the picturesque Agios Spiridonas church, with it's lovely white bell tower. The old centre of Tholos is built in traditional Rhodian style.
