ALLOTINA HOUSES
Allotina is a hidden neighborhood which includes seven picturesque houses in the east side of Patmos Island, almost two and a half kilometers from Skala. Among their main characteristics are their undisturbed sea views and their traditional decorative style, which is based in a palette of earthy shades. Their name is easily understood by the inhabitants of Patmos, since it is entirely related to the island’s history. Allotina was the name of the district created in Chora by the urban families who arrived in Patmos, after the fall of Constantinople in 1453. All houses were built around the Monastery of St. John the Theologian in such way, so that the residents could be protected from pirate raids. The Monastery, which used to operate as a castle in the past, preserves this aspect up to this day.

Allotina houses belong in Divine Hotels group, since 2017. Divine Hotels is a regional Greek group of hotels, which has been active since the 1960s in the Dodecanese area. APOCALYPSIS RESTAURANT
Apocalypsis restaurant is located in Grikos bay, just two kilometers away from Allotina houses. Dressed in white, with an ambiance that appreciates simplicity, Apocalypsis features an outdoor sitting area and a few private tables right by the sea. Its visitors are able to experience fine dining, tasting Greek creative cuisine, or simply enjoy the moonlight while drinking wine, choosing among the various options of the restaurant’s selected wine cellar.

The talented chef Hristos Xeraxoudis and his culinary team use local, traditional and seasonal products. They form tasteful combinations of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine that will pleasantly surprise you, like the grilled octopus with yuzu marmalade, fava from Santorini and tomato spoon sweet from Kos, the marinated pancetta with celeriac purée and apple sauce or the well known black cod, with smoked eggplant purée.

Αpocalypsis restaurant opens its gates at 19:30, an ideal time to take a good look of the sunset and count all the various colors of the sky, one by one.

PLEFSIS TRADITIONAL TAVERN
Plefsis will surely become a favorite spot for those who worship tradition. Located literally by the sea, this traditional tavern offers exquisite seafood delicacies and typical Greek cuisine, while providing undisturbed views of Grikos bay.

From the homey cooked special dish of the day to the desserts served at the end of your meal, all dishes are worthy representatives of Patmian and Dodecanese cuisine. Local produce, fresh seafood along with seasonal vegetables, all prepared with passion and love, form the well – cooked options found in the menu.

Five charming houses that may accommodate up to two people, some located in the ground and some on the upper floor of the complex. They are traditionally decorated and architecturally inspired by the island of Patmos. The nicest among their features is that they are constantly flooded by light, while all wooden windows offer their guests that uninterrupted, turquoise, Aegean blue.

Apart from their convenient location, «Allotina» studios include almost all comforts and amenities found in a typical house, such as: refrigerator, kitchen, oven, coffee maker, boiler, ironing equipment, hair dryer, drying loft etc. But what will surely attract your attention is your holiday terrace, from where you will be able to constantly admire the natural environment of the area.

Those fully equipped studios will make you feel like home. They include one united living room - kitchen area, one bathroom and a commodious veranda. Their decorative style and location will remind you of an old Greek movie, while their cozy ambiance will surely create an unexpected sense of intimacy.

Each one of the two spacious apartments may accommodate up to four people. They feature a separate living room area, one bedroom, one bathroom and of course, a cozy balcony from which you may enjoy endless views of the sea. One apartment is located in the ground floor and the other in the upper floor. Naturally, these two apartments are fully equipped and organized in order to ensure a comfortable stay.

No matter where you stand, from every wooden window you shall notice the pure blue of the sky or the sea. Earthly, wooden furniture and windows, metal beds and loft - like ceilings, create an effortlessly warm atmosphere.

Just like the studios, both apartments feature cool balconies too, with stone built benches, wooden chairs, round tables and an endless view of the Aegean. They remind you of the traditional «patmian» mansions, like the ones seen in Chora or Skala.

Allotina houses are located just two and half kilometers away from the commercial harbor of Patmos. In order to reach the area of Sapsila, you may use:

Public transportation, starting from the harbor (Skala) with a direction to Grikos.
Taxi, which you can find at the central station found in Patmos harbor.
