Karpathos is found in the southern part of the Dodecanese islands in between Crete and Rhodes and is the second largest in size with 301 square miles and a population of six thousand five hundred.
There is a national airport that has daily flights to and from the island. Being known to one the largest run ways in the Balkans Karpathos has daily charter flights. The ferries depart the island on a casual basis to Rhodes, Crete, Piraeus and other islands that belong to the Cyclades and the Dodecanese islands.
