Built in an ideal setting and inspired by the Cycladic architecture they overlook the traditional villages and of course the endless azure of the Aegean looking off to Paros and Antiparos. It is one of the quaintest villages of Sifnos. It is situated in the centre of the island and borders with the capital Apollonia on one side and the stately Artemonas on the other.
A scenic cobblestone path traverses the whole village and intersects with other, smaller lanes. Whitewashed houses with blooming yards is the image that will stay with you if you decide to walk the lanes of Pano Petali.
It is worth noting that in Pano Petali one can find the oldest coffee house of Sifnos and one of the oldest of the whole Aegean.
Here, in Pano Petali you will find the Moscha Geronti Studios in a truly special position with Kato Petali and the Aegean stretching before them.
Their location is ideal since banks, pharmacies, bus stops, taxis, post office, restaurants, coffee shops and small supermarkets can be found nearby.
Within easy walk you can reach either the street of Apollonia where bars, restaurants and shops are open to the wee hours of the morning, or the street of Artemonas where you will also find coffee bars, meze restaurants, shops and patisseries.
