Considering the history of Santorini, there are also a few highly interesting museums and exhibitions, one of the best just 15min walk from the Acroterra Rosa is along the Caldera. It exhibits frescos preserved by volcanic ash from the eruption nearly 4000 years ago and a photographic documentation of the site where they were discovered at Akrotiri on the northern part of the island.

The volcanic land of Santorini and the sunshine are favourable conditions for the culture and ripening of the local vineries. There is a wine museum and several wineries that invite for wine tastings to sample the treasures of the island.

Santorini produces amongst the best wines in Greece, therefore a wine tour with an experienced and enthusiastic sommelier should not be missed. The tour takes approximately 3,5 hrs in small groups and you will visit several wineries in different areas of the island for guided tastings. Private wine tours are also available upon request.
