Dated back in 1859, The Windmill of Karamitsos was initially built in 1859 for the grinding of wheat. Later, in 1985 it was bought by Karamitsos family, who converted the windmill to comfortable guestrooms. In 2010, renovations took place transforming the place in an utterly rustic property with wood and stone being the primary decoration elements.

The windmill is located in the traditional settlement of Trypiti in Milos, which is amphitheatrically built featuring magnificent views to the sea. Situated on the outskirts of the settlement, the accommodation is surrounded by other windmills as well, and is also close to the main church.
