Emprostiada, in the classic white-washed Cycladic theme, is a traditional guest house. It is located on the edge of the picturesque settlement of Chora, on the most interesting island of the Eastern Cyclades, the island of Amorgos. Amorgos is renowned for its stunning Hozoviotissa monastery, as well as for Luc Besson's The Big Blue, a film that has become associated with the Aegean Blue.

Immersed in the infinite blue, followed by the serenity of the Aegean, with its unique warmth and coziness, the Traditional Guesthouse Emprostiada welcomes you and lets you be lost in time. It is the perfect base for your wanderings on the island, founded in the beautiful Chora of Amorgos.

Decorated with a special taste, the Emprostiada Guesthouse apartments welcome you to explore them. Two suites, two cottages and five double rooms are completely fitted with all the necessary modern amenities, ensuring comfort and relaxation and offering a complete holiday experience.

Emprostiada is situated in a wide garden, at the upper entrance of Chora, three kilometers from the clear waters and stunning rocks of Agia Anna beach, where Luc Besson's 'The Big Blue' was filmed. In the monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, one of the oldest monasteries in the Archipelago, at the root of a beautiful vertical rock, one and a half kilometers from the guesthouse, you can feel the strength of faith.

The guest house comprises 9 furnished apartments, 2 suites, 2 maisonettes and 5 doubles. All rooms are equipped with all modern amenities and have full access to our beautiful garden and courtyard. Parking is available in the nearby community parking area, as no motor vehicles are allowed inside the traditional settlement. We are open from March to November, and all of our rooms are air-conditioned.

Amorgos is a multifaceted island which is characterized by a strong geological relief that essentially separates it into three areas, postcard-pretty Chora & Katapola, the busy Aegiali Bay and the rural Kato Meria. The island is a hiker’s paradise in autumn and spring, when the weather is at its mildest. In the summertime you can enjoy the crystal clear waters and relax at the many small cafes and tavernas in Chora and the other villages.

Amorgos is also a great destination to include in an island hopping vacation, as it is very close to other islands in the so-called Small Cyclades (e.g. Donousa, Irakleia) and even the Dodecanese islands.
