History
The village of Atsipopoulo is strategically placed and therefore it has seen many battles against the Turks. The houses are closely built to each other and are easily converted to a fortress in times of need.
The residents realized the architectural value of their homes and respected and up kept them. In this way Atsipopoulo today upholds the traditional look and sophistication of Venetian years. Its neighborhoods, its churches and spellbinding alleys will charm the visitor.
Walking through the side streets, you will find yourselves under Venetian galleries and arches. The stone-built houses on whose front doors they can make out dates from the 17th and 18th centuries will impress you. Most of them have cobbled yards with a well in them. The interior is dominated by arches and therefore they are known by this name.
So, in this graphic village, in one such garden, a stone guesthouse was built, 'Elia'.
The Villa represents this traditional architecture. The visitor will enjoy the tranquility and be able to relax, even though it is located in the middle of the village.
