Piskopiano Village - traditional Cretan village located in the hills with panoramic view of Hersonissos Port which is located at a 20 minute walk.Built on the slope of the Harakas mountain, with a marvelous view of the north Shore of Crete, Piskopiano is one of the oldest settlements in the region.In the center of the village, the purest form of traditional Cretan architecture remains untouched by the sands of time. It once was the seat of Bishopric (after which it was named) the ruins of which stand on the air-skirts of the settlements.A walk around the village will remand a visitor. It is worthwhile to seek out the wall paintings behind the wonderful church of die village and the Agricultural Museum.
