Stalos is just 7 kilometers west of Chania. It is located next to the cosmopolitan areas of Agia Marina and Platanias distinguished by great tourist development.
Kato Stalos boasts a large extent of the sandy beach which runs from the city of Chania all the way to the furthest parts of west Crete. It has been awarded with the Blue Flag of quality as it is a very well organized beach where the holidaymaker can have all possible tourist services.
Further south of the long beach, going inland and surrounded by green hills, lies the picturesque village of Pano Stalos (upper Stalos). Typical of the region are notable rock formations.
