In the deep blue waters of the Ionian sea, a few miles south of Corfu, is to be found a small earthly paradise, Paxos. The island where time and the sea have left their indelible mark, forming steep cliffs, unexplored caves and enchanting beaches; the island which emerged from the depths of the sea with a blow of Poseidon's Trident. The delightful 'capital' and main port of Paxos is Gaios. There are also two of the most picturesque harbors in the Ionian, Lakka and Loggos.
