Corinth Canal • Mycenae (visit) • Argos • Nauplia • Epidaurus (visit) • Athens.

Drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf to Mycenae, visit the remains of the ancient city, including the lionesses gate, the tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. Then through Argos on to Nauplia. After lunch visit Epidaurus and its theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Return to Athens via the Epidaurus / Corinth road.

Levadia • Arachova • Delphi (visit) • Athens
Drive through Levadia and Arachova (famous for its bright multi coloured carpets). Arrive in Delphi, the ancient sanctuary of Apollo. Visit the Museum where one can see among other archaeological treasures, the unique bronze statue of Charioteer, then proceed through the sacred way to the Athenian treasury. Visit the Temple of Apollo. Return to Athens by the same route.

1st DAY: Corinth Canal • Drive to Mycenae the legendary home of the Atreides, where you visit the archaeological site and then depart for Nauplia (lunch). Afternoon at leisure and overnight. (L.)

2nd DAY: Nauplia - Morning at leisure and then depart for Epidaurus - visit the theatre famous for its remarkable acoustic • Drive back to Athens (B.)

Participants on this tour will have an afternoon and morning at leisure for swimming or strolling through the streets of Nauplia, first capital of Modern Greece. On the way back, drive along the scenic Epidaurus - Corinth road.
